We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technology Officer to join our dynamic team. As a company with a rich history and a portfolio of diverse projects and clients, we prioritize knowledge and understanding of our roots. The CTO will play a pivotal role in shaping our technological development strategy, overseeing production teams, and ensuring our expertise remains competitive in the market.

Job requirements

ROLE AREAS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Direction:

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of the company's technological development strategy

  • Strategize and execute the company's asset development strategy

  • Ensure the company maintains its technical competitiveness and expertise

  • Utilize historical expertise to inform and guide current and future technological decisions

  • Develop the roadmap of the technical expertise of the company

  • Ensure the technological processes are in place for the different business models such as outsource development, product development, SaaS, R&D, etc

Management and Leadership:

  • Keep the management team updated on technical priorities and internal processes, including R&D initiatives

  • Direct and align activities of the Head of Engineering, Technology Lead, Head of R&D, Art Lead, and QA Lead with current strategic goals

IT Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure that IT security and compliance policies are well-understood and adhered to by production teams

  • Validate recommended and banned software lists to maintain a secure environment

  • Manage certain accesses and permissions, such as in GitLab

  • Review and approve policies and procurement requests

Production Oversight:

  • Prioritize, groom, and update the Dev and Art teams' backlog to optimize production processes.

  • Participate in important project kick-offs to provide technical insights and direction

Research and Development

  • Plan and exercise control over Research and Development (R&D) projects to foster innovation

  • Review and evaluate available technologies

Team Learning and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Ensure the growth of technological expertise of the company

  • Develop and implement knowledge retention strategy

QA Team Management:

  • Assume responsibility for the QA team's management, ensuring efficient and effective quality assurance processes

Sales Support:

  • Review and validate technical proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs) to aid the sales team.

  • Participate in introductory calls and meetings with new and existing clients.

Recruitment Support:

  • Collaborate with HRD and management in hiring decisions and identifying tech talent.

Marketing Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to identify areas where technology can support marketing efforts

  • Assist in preparing and reviewing technical articles for social media and marketing materials


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar senior technical leadership position

  • Strong background in technology development, project management, and strategic planning

  • Expertise in IT security and compliance policies

  • Knowledge of Machine Learning technologies and their applications

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with other departments

  • Ability to align technical initiatives with overall business goals

  • Familiarity with recruitment processes and talent acquisition strategies

  • A passion for innovation and a drive to keep abreast of industry trends

  • Nice to have knowledge in Machine Learning
