As the Tech Lead for Unreal Engine, you will be responsible for leading the technical direction of our projects, ensuring the seamless integration of technology and creativity. You will guide a team of developers, establish Unreal-specific development processes, collaborate with other departments, and ensure the delivery of high-quality and performant products using Unreal Engine.

Job requirements

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in game/software development, with a strong focus on Unreal Engine.

  • Proven experience in a lead or senior engineering role within the game/software development industry.

  • Experience developing and managing Unreal Engine Plugins.

  • Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine, including C++ programming, Blueprints, and Unreal Engine tools.

  • Strong understanding of game/software development pipelines, asset integration, and optimization techniques.

  • Experience with performance profiling, debugging, and optimization in Unreal Engine.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of mentoring and guiding teams.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in English at an upper-intermediate level, enabling effective communication within an international team environment.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with other engines (e.g. Unity) and development tools.

  • Familiarity with virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) development.

  • Experience with development for mobile (Android/iOS) platforms.

  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Unreal Engine developers, providing technical guidance and support.

  • Oversee the architecture, design, and implementation of application systems and features in Unreal Engine.

  • Closely collaborate with the Unity department, designers, artists, and other stakeholders to translate creative visions into technical solutions.

  • Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of Unreal Engine projects.

  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices to maintain high coding standards.

  • Identify and resolve technical challenges and bottlenecks throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Stay updated with the latest Unreal Engine advancements and integrate new technologies as appropriate.

  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring milestones are met.

  • Contribute to the development of tools and workflows to enhance productivity and efficiency.

  • Conduct technical interviews to assist with hiring new Unreal Engine developers.
